Preliminary exercise learner response

WWW: This is a good preliminary exercise that meets the brief. The music is effective and communicates the genre appropriately alongside some tension. The Harrison side of the conversation is very strong – the audio levels are good and the dialogue clear. The challenge is making sure your real coursework all reaches that level.

EBI: The major aspect that holds this back is the other side of the conversation simply because of the background noise. It means you can’t really hear the dialogue and more importantly it takes the audience out of the world of the drama and loses the suspense. It’s a great lesson in the importance of getting the sound right and also filming outside school if at all possible.

LR: What have you learned about filming and editing from this preliminary exercise? What will you change or do differently for your real coursework production over the next three weeks?

I have learnt to how to use different camera angle .Also I learnt how to use match on action .I need to work on the quality of camerawork as some of the camera angles are very awkward and need to try and remove the background noise
