Class: Industry and Audience blog tasks

1)BBC Three was so that younger audiences watched BBC Channels.

2)BBC Three was a freeview channel there was low audience figures so they switched to online to acknowledge younger people watch at different times so they could stream it.

3)Class entertains as there are many violent scenes and adult scenes .In ad dition it educates people because it talks about space e.t.c.In addition it informs as it shows how multicultural England is now showing a gay couple and most of the characters are from different cultures such as Asians and Africans.

4)One reason it was a failure was because it was aired from 10:45 to 11:30.Also there were less viewers as there were sex scenes which meant the young adults may of found it awkward to watch with family.

5)They used an advert which featured the doctor from Doctor Who  to try and attract the doctor who fans but failed extremely because there were no links between doctor who and class.

6)The viewing audience was 0.28 Million I believe it done so badly as it aired very late in the night and the sex scenes and violent scenes meant it was unable for families to watch it together. Also the BBC did not even know the target audience for Class.

7)I believe Explorers would enjoy class because they may want to discover different things from doctor who that is similar.

8)Personal Identity:Young Adults may be able to relate to class as it is more modern and it is more multicultural including characters from Asia and Africa. Also it includes a Gay couple.

Personal Relationships:There is a lot of love relationships like the Gay Couple some people may relate to this

Diversion (Escapism):The violent scenes and sex scenes entertains them which makes them escape reality

Surveillance (Information / Facts):

9)Theres Visceral Player as there are many jump scares by  the shadow kins.

Also some may say it is vicarious because people may find some of the scenes heroic for example when Ram stopped April from killing her dad.
