Analysis:The advert helps the viewers understand that these people are suffering from dehydration and having no water.This will make people have sympathy for these people making them want to donate TO the charity water aid.This could lead to them having clean water this is why it is effective.Also this is contrroversiol as people will be angry at their government for not supplying them with clean water.This will result in a backlash.The torn clothes symbolise poverty which will make people feel sorry for them and donate to them.
